SAMARITAN’S PURSE: OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD Thanks so much to everyone who filled a box, our total was 47, a few more than last year which was an excellent result. It will be a simple ‘songs of praise style’ service. There is a sheet at the back of church for suggestions for hymns. Please sign the ‘Lifts’ sheet if you would like a lift to church. There will be refreshments and a chance to chat in the hall afterwards.

SUPPPORTING OUR TROOPS “Smiles Across the Miles” is a scheme where we can show our support for our troops serving overseas in a practical way, by filling a shoebox with little things that make a big difference. I have leaflets showing what is needed, and there are also some at the back of the church. I sincerely hope this will not take away from the shoeboxes for children, but it seems to me to be a very worthwhile cause for these men and women away from home at Christmastime. Margaret Royce (715036)
THE RADIATORS in the church have been carefully set up by a heating engineer. Please do not adjust them or switch them off. If you are too warm, please move further away from the source of heat so that others may not suffer.
