St Margaret runs a holiday club in the summer. It runs for four days, usually from 10am – 3pm, and is packed with fun. Each day begins with a simple act of worship and some of our activities are obviously Christian. Others may be not obviously religious, but our hope is that throughout the week children and helpers will together from a community based on fun, respect for each other and on God.

Each holiday club can take 120 children (the ages 5 – 11 are strictly adhered to) and there are always more children who want to come than we have places. There is a large group of helpers, teenagers and adults, who help run the club but who also enjoy it as much as the children. A few paid people come in to do special events, but almost all the helpers – generally there are over 40 helpers involved – are volunteers. The Holiday Club is run under the Child protection rules of the church which can be inspected by any parent.

In the week a child could:
Worship, do circus skills, play football, make jewellery, sing and dance, make paper planes, learn bible stories, play on giant inflatables, make large models and paint them, hear about foreign countries and their customs, make sweets – and lots more also.

Those who come to the holiday club get information throughout the year about other church activities for children.
