| At St Margarets we take very seriously the need to nurture the young. You cannot read the Gospels without noticing how important children are to Jesus. There are childrens events during the week, some occasion workshops and holiday clubs, and of course children are made welcome and are catered for at all our services.
If your child is young you may need to use the crèche area at the back of the church; if he/she is a little older they would be welcomed into Living Stones on a Sunday morning. They may be asked to serve at the altar, to read or to help lead the prayers, or to hand out the service and hymn books. Be assured you and your children would be welcomed here at worship or at any of the other activities that concern the child.
This work is only possible because of a group of willing volunteers, to whom we are most grateful. You may like to be a volunteer yourself you would be very welcome and would receive appropriate training. Please be aware, however, that we will require you to undergo the child protection tests necessary to ensure that St Margarets remains a safe place for children to be.
